Verdict
A specialist. UV light is absorbed by glass and many plastics that blue and infrared lasers pass through or melt, so it engraves crystal, glass and white plastics cleanly with almost no heat mark. It also engraves inside glass blocks (3D inner engraving, 70 mm square). Tom's Hardware gave it Editor's Choice.
Buy it for
- Engraved glassware, crystal awards and 3D inner-glass gifts
- Fine marks on plastics, electronics and packaging
- Engraving wood with no charring
Skip it if
- You mainly cut wood or acrylic sheet
- You need deep metal engraving (MOPA is better)
- This is your first laser
What it can do, material by material
Based on the laser types it carries. "With coating" means only with marking spray, a coated surface or light marks. Always test on scrap first.
